What's This About?

Simply said, this is where I get to rant and rave about my life in suburbia as a mom to an active 2-yr old boy and a wife to a geeky husband. They say you can take the girl out of the city, but you can't take the city out of the girl... Oh so true!

I really do miss it…

Ever since moving to Connecticut and becoming a stay-at-home mom, my fashion sense has pretty much deteriorated.  Long gone are the days of strutting around in cute heels and sexy tops.  Instead of shopping at Bloomingdales and Lord & Taylor’s, my shopping trips now include Target and Marshall’s.  Not that there’s anything wrong with Target [...]

Spring is in the air…

Spring is in the air.  Birds are chirpin’.  Vultures are nesting.  Flower buds are bloomin’.  Man, makes me wanna just reach into the back of my closet and pull out my bikini to celebrate.

Next thing you know, he’ll be off to college…

The time has come.  It was very much anticipated, yet a bit saddening.  Yes, all you moms (and dads) know what I’m talking about…preschool.  Today was registration for preschool for Lil T.  I can’t believe my little man will be starting preschool in the fall.
I’m both excited and saddened by this.  Excited because I will [...]

The Hare and the Tortoise…battles again.

It’s always fascinating to me how genetics works.  I mean what determines if your child will have your curly hair or your husband’s straight hair.  If he/she will be mild tempered or a hot-headed bull.  And then what’s even more fascinating is when genes get carried to the next generation.  Case in point, how did my [...]
